2013 Season Opener Just Around The Corner!
The 44th year of dirt track racing will begin on Saturday night April 20 with double points being awarded in all divisions. Kenny Peeples, Jr., the current FASTRAK Late Model Track Champion, plans to run a limited number of races in 2013. Late Model drivers Lance Reynolds and Teddy Tate may be the ones to watch along with Jake Eaton.
The R & C Super Street Champion Keith Griffitts will have plenty of competition from fellow drivers Michael Deskins, Joe Bonham and Everett Cox. Jerry Dillow the former Champion in the Pro Mini division will be running for the Super Street Rookie of the Year.
The Modified division may be wide open with several of the former Champions indicating that they may not run this year. Some of the Mod drivers to watch are: Justin Blevins, Morgan Widener and Brent Hilton 2012 Rookie of the Year all hoping for some wins and enough points to earn the Championship.
Dennis Jones, Travis Harden and Gary Rudolph will be trying to win the Pro Mini Championship over 2012 Champ Jason Powers. Kenneth Bentley, Jr. is making the move from UCAR 2 to the Pro Mini and plans to win the RoY.
UCAR and UCAR2 divisions will be up in the air this year with both Champions, Dillon & Destiny Huffman, not planning to race this year. Cole Dutton will be up front with Hunter Reedy Jr, Jon Keyes and Ricky Ward making it interesting in the UCAR class. Ashley Umberger will be strong in the UCAR 2 division.
