Starting the night off right with Britt Johnson, Chilhowie Hunter Buchanan Rural Retreat James Suggs, Beckley Wv James Graybeal, Rural Retreat Julianna Atwell, Wytheville were your starting top six of the Ucar division. On the initial green flag of the night Johnson and Suggs took off from the field pressing for the front running spot leaving Atwell, Buchanan, and Graybeal to battle for the third position. The first yellow showed on lap five for Ryan Shelton, Marion spinning in the middle of turns three and four. On the restart Suggs fell back through the field and the yellow came back again on lap eight for Tanner Tate, Marion stopping on the back stretch. A lengthy caution came on lap ten for oil on the track and in the midst Johnson had to make a short stop to the pits losing his front running position. When the checkered flag flew it was Graybeal first followed by Suggs, Buchanan, Danny Tate, Rural Retreat Trevor Armstrong, Atkins Will Hostetler, Rural Retreat and Johnson coming all the way from the back of the field for the top seven.

The men of Pro Mini always put on a show, to start their fifteen lap feature Shane King, Wytheville and Chuck Kinzer, Woodlawn ran door to door for the first two laps with Shane King over powering Kinzer by lap three. The field of nine cars all take the high grove becoming a single file field for a few laps until battles begin to surface once again around the track Shawn King, Wytheville and Kevin Atwell, Rural Retreat argued over second going on four laps until Shawn King took over the position. Brothers, Shane and Shawn King push to the scoring line lap by lap, side by side for the last three laps but Shane was able to keep his position and the win for the first time this season. Shawn took home second, Atwell took third, Travis Harden, Marion took Fourth, and Kinzer rounds out the top five.

Wythe Eye Modifieds started off with a bang Austin Hedrick, Wytheville took a good hit on the outside safety barrier going into turn one on the green flag with a caution call coming with only two laps in the books for debris. Brandon Umberger, Rural Retreat who had started pole position had his hands full with Health Martin, Wytheville for the first few laps of the twenty circuits scheduled. The field quickly became a single file run to the finish. Without any more flashing yellows the steady handed drivers drove home in the following order. Umberger, Martin, Justin Blevins, Marion Will Ferguson, Wytheville and Dustin Dowell, Sugar Grove.

Even with a bounty on his back Jerry Dillow, a Bluefield Wv driver wheeled his number eight powerhouse around the half mile in tune of precision. The other eleven drivers of the R&C Super Street division had all eyes on the extra hundred dollars from Richardson Ambulance Service. From the Start Dillow and Michael Deskins from Tazewell were on a harsh run for the lead, the two running fender to fender most of the twenty lap circuits. Only one caution came on lap fifteen for Evan Atwell, Atkins spinning coming out of turn two. At the checkered it was Dillow pulling another win out of his hat for the third time in a row. Deskins came home a close second followed by Keith Griffitts, Sugar Grove Terry Sharpe Woodlawn and Duke Bare, Meadowview for the top five. We expect another bounty, likely doubled this weekend. $200 Bounty to beat the West Virginia Rocket, Jerry Dillow.

The kids of KCAR had four cars pull to the track for the last feature of the night. Blake Hedrick, Wytheville took the lead for the first eight green flag laps until him and Rusty Tate, Rural Retreat got together on the backstretch ending Hedrick’s night at the stripe it was Tate only inching out Braxton Surber, Sugar Grove and Ryan Suggs, Beckley Wv for the third position.
